What is the Leadership program?

During the period 24th to 28th of July, the young people from 8 small settlements met in Svishtov to work on ideas, learn about project management, the teamwork, and to develop their own work strategies for the upcoming 12 months.

The Association Institute Perspectives has launched a 12-month training program for young people to acquire competence in developing projects for the development of small settlements through the new EU programs for health, education, and social care.

Through the various workshops and teamwork tasks, our future young leaders were challenged to learn on the example of the local community of Svishtov and neighbor areas through study visits and meeting with the population of those areas.

Program structure:

Introductory training in the town of Svishtov from 24 to 28 July 2020.

Forming teams between the participants. (Until August 10)

Start developing local strategies and projects. (Until September 10)

To encourage their curiosity, strengthen the knowledge in professional vocabulary on the English language, and gain more experience participants of the Leadership Program will join at least one to three Youth Exchanges under the Erasmus+  program. (September 2020 - June 2021)

Besides the non-formal education and the tasks that were given to our participants, we also brought to them the experts and lecturers on the topic of EU projects.

During the lectures, participants get to know about new programs of the European Union and its budget aim for the period from 2021-2027 in Health care, digitalization, climate action and, entrepreneurship.

The aim is for the participants to get to know each other. To acquire from our lecturer's basic information about the new generation of programs of the European Commission. To form teams to work with in the field of healthcare, digitalization, and entrepreneurship.

In August, participants will have to form interest teams in the fields of healthcare, entrepreneurship, green economy, digitalization, and social activities.

An important step is for participants to engage their colleagues or friends with ideas. As well as to organize their supporters for an information meeting in their city with representatives and experts from the "Institute of Perspectives".

III. Formation of strategies.

The teams will determine the programs under which to apply for funding. The experts of the Perspectives Institute will support them in developing quality project proposals.

We wish a lot of great accomplishments to our new Young Leaders in the upcoming year!
